What is Majoris Health Systems?
Majoris is a workers’ compensation focused healthcare network and utilization review solution. We contract with physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers to provide medical services to covered employees with work-related injuries or illnesses. Our providers are carefully selected for their expertise in the treatment of work-related conditions. We work closely with treating providers to help covered employees return to work and life as quickly as possible. Our support is for both the administrative and medical elements that come with treating an on-the-job injury, streamlining the process for providers and adjusters alike.
Is Majoris a workers’ Compensation Insurance company?
No. Majoris contracts with self-insured employers to provide utilization review and curated networks for their covered injured employees. Our services include hands-on management of our curated networks, standard utilization review, and proactive medical case management all developed to enhance existing programs for employers who have chosen an alternative to the Texas workers’ compensation insurer market.
How does Majoris collaborate with employers to support injured workers in receiving the right care at the right time?
At Majoris, we collaborate closely with adjusters or other designated risk management contacts by tailoring our communication to the needs of each individual claim. Our extensive expertise in the workers’ compensation arena allows us to provide adjusters with the most relevant information for effective claim resolution. Majoris also takes on the responsibility of obtaining and sharing timely medical records. Claim representatives can also be requested to assist with scheduling worker appointments.
What if I have questions about the status of a precertification request or want assistance with a claim?
Please contact the claim representative assigned to the claim. You can use our Claim Rep Lookup tool for more information.
How does it help me to have Majoris as my network and utilization review partner?
Majoris maintains a workers’ compensation network of providers and facilities to treat injured workers. Contracted providers are expected to:
- Provide timely, complete chart notes
- Give updated functional capacities following each appointment, with the worker being seen every 30 days so long as restrictions are being prescribed
- Refer in network unless an exception is pre-approved
- Respond timely to correspondence
- Utilize the formal Dispute Process if they disagree with an MCO decision
Once an employee is enrolled into the Majoris healthcare network, if they require medical care they must choose to see a Majoris contracted doctor. This directs them to medical professionals who are educated in the unique requirements of treating work-related injuries and supported by workers’ compensation experts.
